ABSTRACT

This article describes the authors’ experience as they survived the challenges brought by Covid-19. Their journey depicts the three elements of appreciative resilience: 1) despair, especially when Kelly tested positive of Covid-19; 2) forgiveness, from initially blaming Kelly and her study tour organizers until finally Emely was able to accept the situation; and 3) hope as Emely refocused and counted every blessing, big and small. True enough, appreciative resilience has guided Emely and her children through this pandemic.
