The Best of Life is a Dinner Conversation

ABSTRACT

Theodore Zeldin started inviting people with very different backgrounds and interests to conversation dinners in Oxford, UK, in 2000 to bring strangers together to let them have a conversation that went beyond small talk. The author considers the effect his idea had on her, on conversations with colleagues in the European AI Network, and proposes that we add the conversation dinner to our AI toolbox.
