Appreciative Inquiry: The Movement of Living

The saying ‘the shortest distance between two people is a story’ holds the ancient wisdom of storytellers and narrative experts. There is a science fiction story in which this metaphor is translated literally. The people in the tale are all linked by visible silver threads. The thickness and strength of these threads depends on the relationships between those who are connected. The threads, of course, are brightest and strongest between people who share the most, and strongest, stories.
