ABSTRACT

A school for vocational education in the Netherlands decided to integrate two of its teams from the hospitality and culinary schools. This process entailed more than just a physical relocation; the school wanted to build strong learning and teaching communities. Multiple Appreciative Inquriry summits at the new locations, focusing on shared dreaming and concrete action with students as the primary target group, supported this culture shift. The transition, initiated in 2024, has led to concrete results such as a joint student desk and centralised exam administration.
