Re-thinking a College of Business Administration with Visual Strategic Planning

ABSTRACT

This paper details an Appreciative Inquiry approach used in building a strategic plan for a college of business. The process incorporated visual and creative exercises to harness people’s dreams and ideas for an innovative future. The results of a four-stage strategic planning process created strong support from all groups within the college. The output of the process was a visual strategic plan that succinctly and effectively communicated the strategic goals of the college.
