ABSTRACT

A newly appointed CEO sought to renew her company’s culture to focus on innovation, decentralized decision-making and faster product delivery. Company leadership engaged in a series of dialogues to align culture with strategy by embedding Appreciative Inquiry into well-understood existing group practices. By focusing on strengths and leaning into its highly affiliative and collaborative culture, the company developed actionable strategies and established cultural momentum for embracing change as part of its forward-looking identity.
