In this article, the authors, with extensive backgrounds in higher education, describe the evolution of two innovations based in Appreciative Inquiry: Critical Appreciative Inquiry and ALIVE (Appreciate, Love, Inquire, Venture and Evolve), their work around belonging, collaboration and leadership reflection, and to develop Appreciative Resilience.

They are co-presidents of Cockell McArthur-Blair Consulting which helps individuals, groups and organizations surface their wisdom and build positive futures. They co-authored the books Building Resilience with Appreciative Inquiry (2018) and Appreciative Inquiry in Higher Education: A Transformative Force (2nd Ed 2020).
