An Appreciative Inquiry Exploring Reverse Mentoring to Prepare Millennials for Leadership in Pharmaceuticals

ABSTRACT

To futureproof the leadership pipeline at a top worldwide pharmaceutical company, an appreciative inquiry among 75 employees improved the existing reverse mentoring program. Promotion of the study introduced approximately 300 employees to Appreciative Inquiry and the program, and resulted in a 25% increase in program participants. The study contributed to and expanded our understanding of Millennials’ proclivities, reverse mentoring best practices, and offered future practitioners examples for applying AI.
