SOAR 2020 and Beyond

Strategy, Systems Innovation and Stakeholder Engagement

ABSTRACT

SOAR has become a mainstay for organisations and communities wanting a way forward that engages everyone along a mutually agreed path. This article highlights how a dissertation twenty years ago led to a framework now used so successfully all over the world.

SOAR can be simple  or more complex by combining it with Appreciative Inquiry’s 5D Cycle. The results are always significant. Examples show that, especially in the face of disruptive change like now, this approach still finds a strategic and inclusive way forward for others.

BONUS:  With purchase of this article, you get access to four SOAR classical articles and our 2007 Issue dedicated to SOAR!
