ABSTRACT

The participatory process is being used with success in contexts as different as talking about asylum policy issues among citizens in the Austrian alps, bringing together different parties within the commercial cooperative Royal Flora Holland to save the company from ruin, and talking about living together peacefully in post-apartheid South Africa. These different projects give fascinating insight into what actually works in participation.
