ABSTRACT

This is a story of hope in a time of despair. Dementia is the leading cause of death in Australian women. Dementia-friendly communities support people living with dementia to live with meaning, purpose and value. Community members, people living with dementia and their carers began building a dementia-friendly community. Appreciative Inquiry was used to mobilise the community to build this story of hope.
